Therefore, the fighter's difficulty rises if you advance more. Like Tekken 6, you have to fight as many fighters with your remaining health bar, and each fighter defeated grants you Tekken Gold. At the final stage, you will be facing Haijio Kaijio as the final boss. At seventh stage until the ninth stage, you will battle against Kazuya (Stage 8) and Angel (Stage 9). But if you lose, you can still advance to the next stage, however you won't get any Tekken Gold. The sequence of the arcade mode follows: on the first five stages, you will battle against 5 random opponents (excluding the mishima family).At the sixth stage, you will fight against a giant Mokujin, which grants you Tekken Gold, the currency of the game to buy each fighter's costume. The number of rounds can be determined by selecting from one up to three rounds. The arcade mode contains 9 stages, which has 6 difficulty levels, which is very easy, easy, medium, hard, very hard and ultra hard.

Like Tekken 7, Tekken 8's story mode focus on the events after Kazuya defeats his final opponent, Akuma. Game modes Story mode (The Mishima Saga 2) Unlike Tekken 7, each character has 2 rage arts in Tekken 8. Also, you can refill your rage bar again. Once your rage bar is full, you can deal your rage art. However, in Tekken 8, rage can be filled up if you deal damage and recieve enough damage from your opponent.
In Tekken 7, rage can only be activated if your health is too low and you can't return your rage after you use your rage art or rage drive.
